Healing Grief with Art

This three-week ongoing course is taught by Christine Shea, a Boston-based “Plein Air Painter” of color and light. It is open to all widows/widowers with little or no painting experience.
Join Christine as she leads you on an artistic journey of healing grief. A journey that she herself has been on. Christine discovered the benefits of art as a form of healing grief by increasing serotonin levels in the same way as meditation, as well as forming new neural pathways in the brain. Her story and art have been featured on the Home, Life and Style TV show hosted by Parker Kelley.
Participants will complete a still life, and a landscape oil painting, as you share your stories and support each other in the healing process while making new connections with others in your community.
Space is limited to 10 participants.
Due to a previous presentation to Great Island’s On Our Own Group, Christine has some people already pre-registered. There is space still available.

Cost is $85 p/p for a three-week session

Cost includes all supplies needed for the course and all proceeds will be going to We are the Widows of Glioblastoma which addresses the financial devastation of many families in the aftermath of a GBM diagnosis.
