Great Island Annual Holiday Walkabout
Posted on Oct 1st, 2024
The Twenty-First Great Island Holiday Walkabout is next Sunday, December 8!
Here are a few reminders:
❖ There are 155 participants, and there will be about 80 cars traveling on the streets of Great Island at the same time. Please be vigilant while walking on the streets. When you arrive at your destination, please try to park on one side of the street to allow passage of other vehicles or emergency vehicles. Please do not park on any resident’s lawn. Do not park in a resident’s driveway unless you have already received permission.
❖ There are a few streets that have 2 gatherings happening at different houses, at the same time. There are two houses on Canoe Landing and Champlain Circle having First Appetizers, two houses on Valley Front having second appetizers and two houses on Tenderwood and Great Pointe having dessert. Just be aware that there will be many cars parking in those areas and be prepared for a bit of a walk!
❖ Check your invitation and be sure to go to all three host homes that are assigned to you. These people are expecting you.
❖ If, for some reason, you decide not to attend one or more of the sessions, please contact the host home(s) involved.
❖ If you have not already done so, please establish contact with the host home to which you are contributing desserts or appetizers.
❖ Please, remember that you are responsible for providing and transporting the beverage of your choice to each one of the host homes that you are visiting during the Holiday Walk about.
❖ Please remember to wear your name tag, and Holiday casual is the preferred attire for this event.
