ITEMS our troops need and look forward to can be found at List of Suggested Items. Your donated items are always immensely appreciated by our troops!  Monetary donations are greatly appreciated to cover the cost of postage for the Care Packages. Checks can be made out to “Soldiers Care Package Outreach”. Checks can be put in the Activities checkbox at the Great Island Clubhouse or call the contact mentioned in Audrey's email for pickup.  

 

COMMON REQUESTS: protein bars, peanut butter or Nutella, Jerky, nuts, crackers, snacks, flip top cans of small fruit, ravioli. They have a love for, and ask for, coffee from home, also non-perishable food toppings such as hot sauce, seasonings and spices to use with meals. Odor-eliminating shoe powder, non-aerosol shaving cream and sunscreen, baby wipes, air fresheners, Icy/Hot patches, baggies, unused sample sizes of toiletries and hand sanitizer are another request. Games, Sudoku, Crossword books helps fill in their quiet time. 

 

Items need to fit into 12x12x5 1/2” box. Items larger than 12x12 will be donated to local veterans. NO GLASS items please. Anyone wishing to make a monetary contribution to defray postage, in lieu of shopping for items, may make a check out to Soldiers Care Package Outreach. 

 

Do you have used books? Used books will also be collected. Those not suitable for our troops, will be redeemed for cash to be used for postage. 

 

Drop off points will be:

The Stonebridge Club, Winslowe’s View Mail House, Chadwick Corners Mail House and the Overlook Clubhouse in Great Island.
