Resident Spring Clean Up--Fairway will start the pickup the week of May 13.
As a reminder, for residents that have done or plan to do yard clean-up of winter debris, (such as branches, twigs and brush), please put these small piles on the street in front of your house for pick up. Please do not drag debris and branches from your yard and put on common areas or property that does not belong to you. The common areas have been cleaned and mulched. Fairway Landscaping will come around starting the week of May 13 to do the pickup.
The 2nd Fertilizer Treatment: The 2nd round of fertilizer is scheduled for the week of May 20, and as always, is weather dependent. Our fertilizer program provides for 8 treatments starting in April and ending in October. (6 fertilization applications in combination with pre-emergent for crabgrass, broad leaf weed control and insect control & 2 lime applications). If you choose to not want to have fertilizer, please contact your street captain (at least 3 days notice) so that they can notify Fairway Landscaping and you can get a “no fertilizer” sign.
On the Great Island website, there are a couple of documents that can provide answers to a lot of your Landscape related questions.
The GI Landscaping Guidelines and the DRC guidelines have a lot of information regarding Landscaping. You can find the documents on the www.greatislandatpinehills.net website; go to the tab: landscape committee or Design Review Committee.
