Soldiers Outreach Drive For our Active Military
Posted on May 17th, 2024

Tables will be set up at the Overlook Clubhouse, the Stonebridge Club, Chadwick Corners mail house and The Market for donations. A list of items our soldiers need and look forward to is attached. Please help support this endeavor. BJ’s, Walmart, and Dollar Tree are a great resource for bulk items. Your donation will be a piece of home regardless of what it is, but here are some more clever ideas to really make the recipient feel at home (from the website SoldiersCarePackages.com via the First Baptist Church, Hingham).

They are always in need of more protein i.e. pepperoni, beef jerky, nuts, protein bars, peanut butter crackers, and instant oatmeal to sustain them and they have a love for coffee from home. Nice shoe inserts for sore feet, odor-eliminating shoe powder, foot cream, and Febreeze to help with uniform freshness. Icy Hot patches, baby wipes and hand sanitizer, unused small size or sample sizes of toiletries, Non-perishable food toppings such as hot sauce, seasonings, and spices (garlic salt, oregano) to use with meals, peanut butter or Nutella, cans of small fruit or ravioli.  Items need to fit into 12x12x5 1/2” box.

Monetary donations help defray postage. In lieu of shopping for items, why not make a check out to First Baptist Church, memo Care Package Postage.  Checks may be left at the collection boxes at the Overlook Clubhouse or the Stonebridge Club.

We have worked with the First Baptist Church in Hingham for the past 13 years and they do a superb job boxing and shipping these items to Point Leaders. Point Leaders distribute donated items to their unit focusing on the greatest need.

“Pinehills residents is their biggest contributor” says Joy Thompson, Director. Please visit SoldiersCarePackages.com to view some of our soldiers and see their appreciation. Our brave military thanks you for your continued support!
