Living Your Best Life with Low Vision

Living with low vision impacts all aspects of someone’s life; physically, socially, emotionally, and logistically. We will discuss small changes that will make a major positive impact on the day to day lives of someone living with a low vision diagnosis. Low-Vision resources and specific visual aid recommendations will be provided.
There is no fee to attend. Signup is required. Please sign up at the Overlook Clubhouse if you are interested in attending.
Cooking for a Healthier You!

Trivia Night with Cubey

The event is open to Great Island residents only and is limited to 96 participants. Cost is $10 pp. Checks made payable to the Great Island Activities Group are due at sign up.

What better way to get to know your fellow Great Island residents than through a good old fashioned Ice Cream Social? Join us at the Clubhouse on the afternoon of September 19th. We will kick off the event with a get to know your neighbor contest in the ballroom and on the patio at 1:00 p.m. Residents will have one hour to learn as much as they can about each other. Prizes will be awarded for the contest. 

Plymouth Party will be catering the event and will serve from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Great Island Gardeners

This event is not to be missed. Join us to sample recipes from the Great Island Gardeners' new cookbook Cooking with Herbs It contains more than seventy tried and true herb-influenced recipes shared by GIG members. Cookbooks available for sale $15.

Samples available for you to taste-test will include rosemary cashews, basil lime sugar cookies, dill pickles, Greek orzo salad with basil, dilly bread with herb compound butter, artichoke cheesecake with crackers, deviled eggs with dill, and red cabbage cole slaw with herb vinegar. Recipe cards will be displayed for each item. 
Civil War Group Meeting
Tuesday, July 23rd to Wednesday, September 18th, 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Cabana (next to Stonebridge Club)
Pinehills new American Civil War Group will be meeting monthly from September 2024 through December 2025 to follow how the 20th Massachusetts Volunteer infantry, also known as the Harvard Regiment, was used throughout the course of the war. We’ll share the experiences of these men at Antietam, Fredericksburg, Gettysburg and many other lesser known battlefields. Formal presentations last on hour followed by Q and A.
This group meets the third Wednesday of the month from 7pm to 9pm in the Cabana.
Anyone interested is welcome to attend.
